Consent and safeguarding talks that students remember
I deliver consent, safeguarding and personal safety talks to secondary schools, sixth forms and colleges across the Thames Valley, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Every talk is delivered in person by a former detective and Rape and Sexual Offences Officer who speaks with both professional authority and the honesty of lived experience. Students do not just hear the message. They remember it.
I speak openly about my own experience as a survivor of sexual violence, and about the cases she investigated as a detective. That combination gives young people a clear, honest and age-appropriate understanding of consent, the law, and the real consequences of sexual crime, both for victims and for those accused. It is a perspective that no textbook and no off-the-shelf assembly can offer.
A former detective who during my 26 years in the police service worked on several successful teams investigating serious crime and was awarded two Shrievalty awards for outstanding police work.
During the last two years of my career, I worked as a Rape and Sexual Offences Officer and Suicide Single Point of Contact for Buckinghamshire I was a specialist interviewer of vulnerable adults and children.
Specialising in the safeguarding and wellbeing of children and young adults , I strive to educate them about the threat of violence and I am open about my own experiences which I believe allow me to connect better with my audience.
I offer a one hour to 90 minute talk to schools and I charge £250 talk (which includes preparation). I tailor each presentation to meet the individual needs of the educational establishment. Ensuring the content aligns with it’s safeguarding priorities , curriculum objectives and the age of the audience. I can deliver this as part of a careers talk, for a PSHE day or as an extra-curricular session before or after the school day.

Understanding consent and the law
A central part of every talk is helping students understand consent in plain, accurate terms. In the UK, the legal age of consent is 16. Under the Sexual Offences Act 2003, a person consents only if they agree by choice and have the freedom and capacity to make that choice. Consent can be withdrawn at any time, and a person cannot consent if they are asleep, unconscious, or incapacitated through alcohol or drugs, or if they have been pressured, threatened or deceived. Georgina explains what this means in everyday situations, so students leave with genuine clarity rather than confusion.
I am willing to travel to deliver a presentation outside of the Thames Valley area (Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire) but there will be an extra charge for travelling.
I have been delivering to Secondary schools talks in line with the PSHE curriculum since 2020.
Tailored to every year group
From Key Stage 3 through to sixth form, the language, examples and depth are pitched to suit the maturity of the audience. Younger students focus on recognising risk, healthy relationships and where to turn for help, while older students explore consent, the law and personal responsibility in more detail. Every session is aligned with the PSHE curriculum and the statutory RSHE (Relationships, Sex and Health Education) framework, so it supports your existing provision and your safeguarding obligations.

The aim of every talk is practical. Students leave more aware of risk, more confident in setting and respecting boundaries, clearer on the law, and better equipped to support a friend or seek help. Staff gain a session that strengthens their safeguarding culture and meets a key element of the curriculum, delivered by someone with genuine authority on the subject.
